Step outside of the picture for a minute.
Now, who's being unreasonable here? :)

(as far as the film is concerned, you got it right; they both are!)

Hmm... he accuses her of being unreasonable, but i think that, in this picture he is the one that is unreasonable.
Just because he did not answer her.
The relationship of this two persons allows the question about being honest.

(i am thinking at the same time i am writing, so i am going to add:

i think that in this picture both of them are being unreasonable
he is, because of the above and she, because, in fact, asking that, is like assuming that she has always been honest, and i know (and at the middle of the movie she knows too) that she was not honest with herself.

i do not believe in concepts like happiness (as defined by most people) or perfection.

my english is not very good, i hope it is understandble.

i am thinking that this could be the begining of seeing things as they are to this two people. so, it is a good thing, both being unreasonable

what do you think?
i really have to think more about this.

Like I said:
Reality is completely unreasonable.
And that is no garanty for happiness, nor perfection for that matter.

:) So, who's being unreasonable here?

i was looking for a picture of the film and i found this one, with the subtitles. i found very interesting because we do not know witch caracter is saying what.
i tried to look up in the film and did not found this scene. But the bed and the clothes are from scenes in the begining of the film, before everything happens.
the curious thing is that when the husband tells his wife what is going to be the reason of changing, he says something like "i am trying to be honest and it is not easy"
there is this couple, a perfect couple (i am always afraid of perfection), with a 10 years of perfect marriage. then something happens and the film covers 10 years more of the life of this two persons. less perfect, more happy or real, maybe real is a better word.

Being reasonable is taking a shortcut to unhappiness. But who's being unreasonable in this picture?
